To date, much of the literature on the financing of terrorism and insurgency has focused at the macro-level on groups involved in financing their organizations through involvement in the drug trade.

This paper discusses some of those implications, but argues that to better understand the threat faced by the new generation of jihadists in the West, security forces and intelligence services must also look at the micro-level of how lower level trafficking, drug dealing and petty criminal activity, combined with prison radicalization and ties to the black market and illicit underworld, combine to present a new spin on a longstanding threat.

To be sure, the micro-level is even more difficult to counter, given already poor community-police cooperation and relations in the marginalized communities throughout the West.

Further, the threat from drug trafficking at the micro-level can be equally as nefarious, as smaller cells are given greater autonomy to finance plots, recruit new members and ultimately conduct attacks in developed democracies. The paper concludes with some policy recommendations geared toward helping host-nations build capacity in critical areas, including law enforcement and intelligence, from the local to the state to the federal level.

Technology has the ability to enhance and enrich the lives of older adults by facilitating better interpersonal relationships.

However, few studies have directly examined associations between technology use for social reasons and physical and psychological health among older adults. Social technology use was assessed through five technology-based behaviors i. Attitudes toward the usability and benefits of technology use were also assessed.

Older adults had generally positive attitudes toward technology. Higher social technology use was associated with better self-rated health, fewer chronic illnesses, higher subjective well-being, and fewer depressive symptoms.

Furthermore, each of the links between social technology use and physical and psychological health was mediated by reduced loneliness. Close relationships are a large determinant of physical health and well-being, and technology has the potential to cultivate successful relationships among older adults. Based on the condition of relativistic energy uniqueness, the calibration of the cosmological constant was performed. This allowed to obtain the corresponding equation for the metric and to determine the generalized momentum, the relativistic energy, momentum and mass of the system, as well as the expressions for the kinetic and potential energies.

The scalar curvature at an arbitrary point of the system equaled zero, if the matter is absent at this point; the presence of a gravitational or electromagnetic field is enough for the space-time curvature. Sergey G. JJP,9 1 We measured the fine particle number concentrations at four sites in Amman and one site in Zarqa during March 6 — May 28, These were urban except for one, which was a sub-urban site. The highest number concentrations hour median as high as 5. In Amman, the highest number concentrations were observed at the urban residential sites Umm Summaq and Al-Hashmi Al-Shamali, hour median as high as 4.

The daily pattern of the fine particle number concentrations was characterized by three peaks during the daytime. Abu Al-Ruz. Porous silicon samples were prepared by electrochemical anodic etching of p—type silicon wafer in hydrofluoric HF acid-based solution.

The electrochemical process allowed precise control of porous silicon properties, such as average pore diameter, average pore depth and porosity. The average pore diameter and average pore depth were found to increase with the increase in current density. Ammar M. For this purpose, 62 rock samples were gathered from different quarries of the region under investigation. The measured activities of U, Th and 40 K were found to range from Awawdeh and M. For interaction between the clusters, we use modified Manning-Rosen potentials and solve the relativistic Klein-Gordon KG equation using the Nikiforov-Uvarov NU method to calculate the energy spectrum.

We found the ground state energy and the first excited energy. Finally, the calculated results are compared with the experimental data for light nuclei, such as 8Be, 12C and 16O.

Special issues devoted to important topics in international business and its interface with international entrepreneurship will be published from time to time. Throughout history, foreign expansion has been seen by leaders as a way of increasing and acquiring resources, crafts, knowledge, and markets.

Often that expansion has involved invasions and wars.

Today, the globalisation of society has driven us to the point where the battles are mostly fought in the board rooms of multinational companies rather than in the green fields of distant lands. Research published in the Journal of International Business and Entrepreneurship Development looks at the theory underlying foreign market attractiveness and takes it as a reference for multinational entrepreneurial expansion and the prospects of related foreign ventures [ PIndia.

Selected authors will be invited to elaborate on their research topic and submit the results to the journal for review and potential publication. Editor in Chief Dr. Craig C.
